The gorgon are a race of humanoid that have the innate ability to gaze at a creature and to turn them to stone. Any individual that is attacked by with this gaze must pass a standard willpower and a standard constitution check. If they pass both of these checks they are safe. If they survive three such attacks, they are invulnerable to gaze attacks made by that specific gorgon. Gaze attacks can only be made if the victim is looking at the gorgon. This gaze attack will only work if the gorgon and the victim are within 30 yards from each other. Gorgons cannot turn other gorgons to stone. Gorgons also have snakes for hair.
The gorgon live on islands away from the rest of civilization. Communities tend to push the gorgon far away.

Three sisters had snakes for hair and the ability to turn a man to stone. One of these gorgons, Medusa, was killed by Perseus.
